The Foundation

The work of the Foundation in helping disadvantaged children fulfil their potential is only possible through the support and generosity of others.  A perfect example is former pupil, Charlotte Mocatta (Mullens 1988) who set up the Simon Church & Jonathan Turner Bursary Fund in memory of her brother and his school friend, also Old Reedonians who were tragically killed in a motor bike accident shortly after leaving School.  See Charlotte's message below.  By working together we want to ensure that the Foundation can continue to educate, care for and inspire disadvantaged children for the next 200 years.

The motivation behind Film for the Foundation - A message from Charlotte

This year marks the third Film for the Foundation - raising money for the Simon Church and Jonathan Turner Bursary Fund. My mother and I feel very proud that Simon, and his friend Jonathan, who were killed in a motorcycle accident just after leaving Reed's, have a legacy that is changing the lives of young people today. With your help we would like to continue to make a difference in their names.

We are so grateful for the outstanding support received both from the Reed's community (past and present), and from friends and family. Together we have raised over £23,000. Our Grease and Dirty Dancing film nights have been a huge success and we have also been fortunate to have received generous donations from Fashion For Good as well as from individual donors. Currently we help to support two boys and one girl with their care and education at Reed’s. We would like to raise a further £2,000 at least so that Simon's legacy can help a further boy and girl.

This year our film, Pretty Woman, is promising to be another great night out and I do hope you will be able to join us. Raise a glass to Simon and Jonathan, sit back and enjoy the film happy in the knowledge that you are transforming young lives at the same time.

Thank you

Charlotte Mocatta
(Mullens 1988)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON THE NIGHT (CLICK HERE TO BOOK AND/OR TO MAKE A DONATION).
